I started collecting beautiful silver from Mexico a few years back, as I find it makes a stunning table setting any time of year. When we were introduced to Beatriz Ball’s brilliant designs, I was smitten. Each exquisite piece is made completely by hand (in fact 12 pairs of hands are needed to create one) using ancient sand-casting techniques. The aluminum never needs polishing and can go from oven to table. When I entertain, I like to dazzle my guests, so I always include an item from Beatriz Ball’s elegant collection when setting the table. -JG
Handmade and carefully handpolished, this rectangular aluminum platter from Mexico is both decorative and practical. Ideal to chill foods, or warm up to 325 degrees. Easy care, never tarnish. Handwash, no dishwasher. Do not store food, or leave in standing water. Avoid cutting on surface. 14 3/4" x 10 1/4" x 1".
