Miami-based image consultant and TV host Daniel Lombardi partnered with Talentos Civil Association, a non-profit organization aiding minorities in Argentina, in 2007. His vision was to develop the skills of low-income Argentinean women and support his community. The women are trained in the art of knitting, macramé, crochet and other needlepoint techniques, as well as in the process of finishing items with high-quality accents. They earn much-needed income to support their families, and Talentos provides a community development program for mothers including parental guidance and workshops for children to help with their school work, English language classes and a kindergarten. Additionally, a health plan is offered, plus workshops on abuse and domestic violence prevention, as well as programs designed to strengthen skills and raise self-esteem.
