Story

As elegant and sensual as the exclusive island of Mustique, these sarongs, kaftans and dresses are always in my suitcase when I take off on a tropical vacation. The hand-painted fabric designs by British artist Lotty Bunbury, who lives on the private island, are meticulous and evoke the beauty of that Caribbean hideaway, reminding me of the time I spent there. Her silk creations are comfortable, easy to pack, incredibly sexy and will make any traveler feel like a chic islander.

Lotty Bunbury has been painting silk sarongs since first arriving on the tropical island of Mustique in 1992, where she still lives with her family. Each sarong is hand painted by Lotty on the island before being sent out for production. Due to increasing demand, Lotty went into print in 2002, and has since expanded the collection to include kaftans and resort wear. She donates 10% of all profits to St. Benedict’s Children’s Home for orphans on the island of St. Vincent.
